Harrison Ford Reportedly Returning For Star Wars VII

Harrison Ford as Han Solo Publicity Still - Courtesy of 20th Century FoxSix months ago, it was an impossible dream. However, now it seems that many fanboys’ dreams of another Star Wars film with Harrison Ford as Han Solo is on the verge of becoming a reality. Latino Review is reporting that the deal for Ford to reprise his star making role is complete. There has been no confirmation from Disney about the actor’s involvement. Just a few weeks after the announcement of Star Wars: Episode VII, it was reported that Ford was open to the idea of returning as the Correlian smuggler after spending decades distancing himself from his break out role.

The 70-year-old actor has been extremely active in the last year.  He currently has three films completed and scheduled for release this year with Ender’s Game42, and Paranoia.

It was also reported last month that Disney is looking into creating stand-alone films set in the Star Wars universe and one of them would be about a young Han Solo. It seems unlikely that Ford would appear in that film, but anything is possible.

Star Wars: Episode VII is scheduled to hit theaters in 2015. J.J. Abrams will direct the film from a script by Michael Arndt. Disney and Lucasfilm are planning a new trilogy with a new movie coming every other year.
