New Anchorman: The Legend Continues Poster

Yesterday, Paramount Pictures released a new teaser poster for the comedy sequel Anchorman: The Legend Continues. Paramount released the poster with the following quote:

“Here’s a poster as an appetizer to trailer coming tomorrow. Yes I’m in a kimono smoking a cigar while writing this.”

Adam McKay is returning as director. The film will star Will FerrellHarrison FordChristina ApplegateSteve CarellKristen WiigJames MarsdenDavid KoechnerDylan BakerMeagan GoodGreg KinnearJosh Lawson, and Paul Rudd. Paramount Pictures announced in December that they will release the film on December 20, 2013.

Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy was released in July 2004 and grossed over $85 million at the box office.  Talk of a sequel began shortly after the first film was released, but it took years for the parties to work out an agreement and a script to get the second film off the ground.  The original film also starred Vince VaughnFred WillardFred Armisen, and Chris Parnell, but there has been no reports on whether they will be returning in the sequel.
