Director Robert Rodriguez has released two images from his and Frank Miller‘s Sin City: A Dame to Kill For that feature Josh Brolin as Dwight, the character that Clive Owen played in the first Sin City. The photos were released via Rodriguez’s Twitter account. One of the photos is a behind the scenes shot and the other is a mock up of what the finished product will resemble.
“Have been deep into filming Sin City 2. Want to see some behind the scenes pics?” Rodriguez said. “Having a BLAST making this movie. Amazing cast, and they’re all doing fantastic work. Here’s bad ass Josh Brolin driving a Rodriguez-mobile. (A green box with a steering wheel bolted on)”
The ensemble cast of the film includes original cast members Bruce Willis, Mickey Rourke, Jessica Alba, Rosario Dawson, and Jaime King along with new cast members Dennis Haysbert, Alexa Vega, Jamie Chung, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Julia Garner, Eva Green, Christopher Meloni, Stacy Keach and Academy Award nominee Brolin. Production is underway at Rodriguez’s Troublemaker Studios in Austin, Texas.
Sin City: A Dame to Kill For weaves together two of Miller’s classic stories with new tales in which the town’s most hard boiled citizens cross paths with some of its more repulsive inhabitants. The film was developed by Miller based upon his graphic novel, with a screenplay by Miller and Academy Award winner William Monahan. The film will be released by Dimension Films in the US and Canada on October 4, 2013. Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, which is now filming in Austin at Rodriguez’s Troublemaker Studios.
