Paramount Home Entertainment released Gladiator to Blu-ray on May 15, 2018. Ridley Scott directed the film starring Russell Crowe, Joaquin Phoenix, and Connie Nielsen.

‘Gladiator’ Movie Synopsis

In 180 A.D. Rome, a weary Marcus Aurelius is near death, and he names his loyal and triumphant general, Maximus Decimus Meridius, as his successor and protector of Rome. However, his unbalanced son, Commodus has other plans. Blind with rage, Commodus orders the Roman hero be executed, and takes his father’s place as Caesar. Maximus winds up a slave to the former gladiator, Proximo in North Africa. He rises once again as a gladiator all the way back to Mother Rome and an unsuspecting Commodus.
