The long delayed, and often thought dead, dinosaur sequel Jurassic Park IV will finally come to theaters in the summer of 2014. There are very few details about the project at this moment, but it is known that Steven Spielberg will produce the film, but will not act as the director of the fourth film in the hugely successful series. It is anticipated that a director will be announced within the next couple of months if the project expects to hit its targeted June 13, 2014 release date. Jurassic Park IV is being planned for a 3D release.
The original Jurassic Park was released in June 1993 and grossed over $357 million at the box office, becoming the highest grossing film of that year. That film will see a 3D re-release on April 5 of this year, also hitting IMAX 3D theaters.
