Tom Cruise’s ‘Edge Of Tomorrow’ Sequel Gets Two Screenwriters

Deadline.com is reporting that Joe Shrapnel and Anna Waterhouse have been hired to write the sequel to one of 2014’s best films you may not have seen: Tom Cruise and Doug Liman’s sci-fi film, ‘Live. Die. Repeat. Edge of Tomorrow.’ The original film had a soft opening domestically; eventually hitting $100 million in the U.S. However, the film grossed another $270 million or so internationally which is enough to get the green light for this sequel.

‘Bill & Ted 3’ May Shoot by the End of 2016

In an interview with Forbes, Alex Winter, one half of Bill and Ted, reveals that the third installment in the film franchise will hopefully start shooting at the end of this year. The script has been in development for about six years now and has “been written by Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon who wrote the first two, they are fantastic writers, and the script is great. Melissa McCarthy’s ‘The Boss’ has $8 Million Friday

The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Melissa McCarthy’s ‘The Boss’ brought in around $8 million for Friday, and will end up with to $21 million to $23 million for the weekend, but movie analysts don’t think that will be enough to kick ‘Batman vs. Superman’ out of the number one spot. Reviews for the film have been less than stellar. Rotten Tomatoes currently puts ‘The Boss’ at 18% Critics and 51% Audience with one critic deriding the emphasis of “broad slapstick over clever satire” and many more saying the script is in dire need of a rewrite.
