Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has announced that it will release on Blu-ray The Mad Max Trilogy. All three films were directed by George Miller and starred Mel Gibson as the lead character, Max Rockatansky. The must-own collection, which will arrive in limited premium tin packaging, will be available for purchase online and in stores across the nation on June 4th.

Mad Max (1979)

In Mad Max, Max Rockatansky is a fierce cop in a world living on the edge of an apocalypse. As he prepares to run far away from it all with his family in tow, an unfortunate encounter with a motorcycle gang and its menacing leader, the Toecutter, becomes a race to save his family’s life.

Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior (1982)

Max Rockatansky wanders the deserted highways of an energy-starved dystopian Australia after eradicating followers of the Night Rider’s. Max finds himself roaming the endless wasteland scavenging for food and precious petrol. Out in the scorched wilderness, Max happens upon a small oil refinery. However, the place Lord Humungus’ barbarian horde of biker warlords, hell-bent on destruction and mayhem lay siege to it. In order to get his hands on as much gas as he can carry, Max must provide a defenseless community with a deserted truck to transport the gasoline to safety. Nothing ever goes as planned out here.

Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome (1985)

In 1985’s Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome, Gibson returns for his third go-round as the title hero who takes on the barbarians of the post-nuclear future – and this time becomes the savior of a tribe of lost children. Music superstar Tina Turner co-stars as Aunty Entity, a power-mad dominatrix determined to use Max to tighten her stranglehold on Bartertown, where fresh water, clean food and gasoline are worth more than gold.
