Next Friday (2000) To Finally Get Blu-ray Release This September

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has announced the addition of the comedy Next Friday to their upcoming slate of Blu-ray releases. The film was directed by Steve Carr and stars Ice Cube, Mike Epps, Justin Pierce, Don ‘D.C.’ Curry, John Witherspoon, and Tommy ‘Tiny’ Lister. Next Friday is currently available for pre-order online and will be available in stores everywhere beginning on September 10th.

In the film, Debo (Lister) has escaped from prison and is looking to get revenge on Craig (Ice Cube). So Craig’s dad (Witherspoon) takes him to Rancho Cucamonga to hide out with his Uncle Elroy (Curry) and cousin Day-Day (Epps), who moved to the suburbs after winning the lottery. But once he gets there, Craig and Day-Day have a set of suburban misadventures that make his South Central experiences look tame.

Technical specifications and special features have yet to be revealed. The 2010 DVD included alternate endings, a gag reel and music video.
