‘Rio Bravo’ Movie Synopsis

In Rio Bravo, Sheriff John T. Chance has his hands full after arresting Joe Burdette for murder. He knows that Burdette’s brother Nathan, a powerful rancher, will go to any lengths to get him out of jail. Chance’s good friend, Pat Wheeler, offers to help, but someone shoots him in the back minutes after making the offer. Now with his old-timer deputy, Stumpy; the town drunk named Dude, and a young hand who used to work for Wheeler named Colorado, they try to keep their prisoner in jail. Meanwhile, Nathan Burdette enlists a couple of dozen men to set his brother free or kill the men holding him prisoner. Chance does his best to keep the peace with the odds stacked against him while romancing a stacked female gambler who calls herself Feathers.
