Movie Talk has released a story that Sarah Silverman is in negotiations to join the cast of Seth MacFarlane‘s western comedy A Million Ways to Die in the West as a sailor-swearing hooker who loves Jesus.
The film was first announced late last year and reunites MacFarlane with his Ted screenwriters Alex Sulkin and Wellesley Wild. MacFarlane is set to star in the project, which added Charlize Theron, Liam Neeson, and Amanda Seyfried to project last month. Scott Stuber is set to produce the film alongside MacFarlane.
The film is the story of a simple farmer named Albert (MacFarlane) who chickens out of a gunfight and then watches as his girlfriend (Seyfried) leaves him. His life changes when he meets the wife (Theron) of a notorious outlaw who teaches him how to shoot. The farmer sets out to win back the woman he lost only to find that he has fallen for his married teacher. Of course there will be comedic turmoil when her outlaw husband returns. Neeson is reportedly in negotiations to play Theron’s outlaw husband. Ribisi is in talks to play Albert’s best friend Edward, a simple shoe repairman who bears up with a girlfriend who won’t have sex with him, but as a working prostitute she’s doing it with everybody else.
