The Goonies: Deleted Octopus Scene

There has always been a lot of confusion over the comments made by the Goonies to the reporters at the end of the film concerning the octopus that the kids stated was very scary. The final cut of the film did not include an octopus scene, but Data’s statement to reporters, and the novelization of the film both included a reference to the kids encountering an octopus just before boarding One-Eyed Willie’s ship.
