The Black Hole (1979) is Drawn into DVD

Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment released The Black Hole to DVD on August 3, 2004. Gary Nelson directed film starring Maximilian Schell, Anthony Perkins, and Robert Forster.

‘The Black Hole’ Movie Synopsis

The Black Hole begins aboard the ship Palomino. For five years, it and its small crew have traveled into deep space in search of evidence of alien life. Unfortunately, nothing turned up. With their mission coming to an end, they discover the largest black hole ever encountered. Surprisingly, drifting perilously close to it, is the long-lost starship, Cygnus. Even more surprising is that the ship still appears to be fully functional. Incredibly, the ship is not a lifeless hulk. An eccentric genius named Hans Reinhardt designed the ship, and he’s still onboard it as its commander. However, Reinhardt has no desire for the Palomino to rescue him and his crew of slaves. He plans on going in, through… and beyond The Black Hole!
