‘The House with a Clock in Its Walls’ Movie Synopsis
The House with a Clock in Its Walls takes place in 1955. Lewis Barnavelt is a newly orphaned boy who arrives in Michigan to live with his uncle Jonathan. He soon finds that Jonathan is a warlock, and his best friend, Florence Zimmerman. is a witch. Jonathan agrees to teach Lewis magic, but he has one rule—he is not to open the locked chest in the house.
At Lewis’ new school, the students all think he’s weird. Only one kid, Tarby Corrigan, will talk to him, but that is because he wants his vote for class president. When Lewis invites Tarby over, he unlocks the cabinet. It reveals a book about necromancy inside. This leads the boys to the cemetery where they resurrect the dead body of Isaac Izard—an evil warlock with plans to destroy mankind.
