‘The Spoilers’ Movie Synopsis
In 1900 Nome, Alaska, two men named Flapjack and Banty come to town to check on their gold mine claim. The local saloon owner named Cherry Malotte knows all about the town’s corruption including the fact that two men named Bennett and Clark are out to steal that claim. Also in on that scheme is the town’s new gold commissioner, Alexander McNamara and Judge Stillman which allows the black hats to get their way as long as the judge and commissioner get a piece of the action.
When Cherry’s old beau, Roy Glennister, returns from a trip to Europe he mistakenly sides with McNamara, damaging his relationship with his longtime partner, Al Dextry. However McNamara and Stillman deceive Roy as they prepare to steal at least $250,000 while the mine’s case awaits appeal. This sets up a showdown for control of the mine, the money, and justice for all.
