Walt Disney’s Robin Hood (1973) 40th Anniversary Edition Coming To Blu-ray

Walt Disney Home Entertainment has officially announced that they are adding the 40th Anniversary Edition Blu-ray release of Robin Hood to their upcoming slate of Blu-ray releases. Walt Disney Animation’s 21st animated feature was directed by Wolfgang Reitherman and features the voice talents of Roger MillerPeter UstinovBrian BedfordAndy DevinePhil Harris, and George Lindsey. The classic adventure will be available in stores and online in Blu-ray/DVD/Digital Copy and BD/DVD combo packs beginning on August 6th.

Join Robin Hood (voiced by Bedford), his trusted companion Little John (Harris) and his hilarious band of Merry Men as they outfox greedy Prince John (Ustinov) to save the good people of Nottingham. Dashing from one daring deed to the next, Robin won’t rest until he wins the hand of Maid Marian (Monica Evans) and restores King Richard (Ustinov) to the throne.

Robin Hood will feature a 1080p video presentation, DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround track and several extras, including: a deleted storyline “Love Letter”; alternate ending; “Oo-de-lally” Disney sing-along song; Disney Song Selection; Robin Hood storybook; Robin Hood art gallery; “Ye Olden Days” bonus short; and a sing along with the movie feature.
