For Your Eyes Only Movie Summary

For Your Eyes Only begins in a world where enemies abound. Fortunately, there is one man who can save us from them all—Agent 007, James Bond. The 12th official film in the series, ‘For Your Eyes Only’ relies slightly less on goofy gimmicks; concentrating more storytelling. There’s still not much of a lot of plot though. However, you can rest assured that the movie has plenty of your requisite Bond tropes; Bond villains, Bond girls, and exotic Bond locales. This one is set in Greece, which is nice.

The spy boat, St Georges, used by the Ministry of Defense, is sunk by a mine in the Ionian Sea. It contains a device known as the Automatic Targeting Attack Communicator or ATAC for you initialism fanatics out there. Our hero must recover the ATAC before the sinister Soviets are able to take it. Especially after the head of the KGB sent a contact to Greece to do just that.

From here, it’s your standard Bond plot line. Listen to the podcast to see what we have to say.

  1. Good show, but I disagree with you completely. Bond is a classic in any era. Sure there are some Bond films that are better than others, but they are still far superior to most other spy action films. Can’t wait to hear more episodes concerning Bond films of the 80’s.
