‘Ghostbusters: Answer the Call’ Movie Summary

Paranormal researcher Abby Yates and physicist Erin Gilbert look to prove that ghosts exist in today’s world. When strange apparitions appear in Manhattan, Gilbert and Yates turn to engineer Jillian Holtzmann for help capturing the apparitions. Patty Tolan, a lifelong New Yorker who knows the city inside and out, soon joins the girls, and the new Ghostbuster service is ready for action! With proton packs in hand, the four women prepare a ghoulish battle in the middle of Times Square for the soul of New York City, and sweet, sweet Kevin.

Hi, re Chris’s opinion about Melissa McCarthy, I’m also not a huge fan but what do you think about her performance in Saint Vincent with Bill Murray? I thought she was pretty restrained in that role and did a good job.

That’s a great movie in general, which will definitely be reviewed sometime. I do think it’s good when she tones down her overall performance. That is what I did like about her in this one; when she was more of the “straight man.”

Hi Chris, glad to hear you’re going to review it – I think Murray’s performance was spot on and I love him in these sad clown roles – he should’ve won the golden globe that year
