‘Swing Time’ 30-Second Summary
Dancer / gambler / heartthrob, Lucky Garnett is late to his wedding with Margaret Watson after the other performers in his troupe pull the striped trouser cuff gag on him, making him late to the wedding and his future father-in-law angry enough to call off the ceremony. Once Lucky does arrive at the Watson home, he promises to “EARN” $25,000 so that Margaret’s father will allow him to marry her. Lucky then sneaks on a train to New York with only his lucky quarter in his pocket and best pal, Pop, by his side. Once Lucky meets an irresistible dance instructor named Penny Carroll, his affection towards Margaret takes a back seat. Will Lucky get the money and the small town girl or will the bright lights of the Big Apple tempt him towards bigger and better things?
